BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. -- A semi driver is in critical condition after a crash on Interstate 65 Friday morning.
The crash happened near Columbus, Indiana. Police say the semi went off the southbound lanes into an embankment and crashed into a tree. The cab is wrapped around the tree.
It took close to an hour to get the driver out of the semi. He was flown to an Indianapolis hospital.
Police haven't identified the driver yet.
Crews finished unloading 43,000 pounds of french fries from the semi around noon.
