INDIANAPOLIS - A woman was injured early Tuesday when a semi-tractor-trailer hydroplaned and flipped on its side on Interstate 65.
Indiana State Police said the crash happened about 12:30 a.m. on I-65 south just past St. Clair Street near downtown Indianapolis.
The semi hydroplaned and went from the right side of the interstate, crossing traffic before flipping on its side into the median, Indianapolis Fire Department officials said.
Firefighters said a woman riding inside the semi was injured and taken to Methodist Hospital in stable condition.
The woman driving the semi was not injured, police said.
The overturned semi blocked traffic on I-65 south for several hours.
Rain was a factor in the cause of the crash, officials said.
