Roads expected to be closed through rush hour

INDIANAPOLIS -  

A semi-tractor-trailer crash early Friday shut down the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 at the Interstate 65 north split.

The crash happened just before 4 a.m. near mile marker 112 when the semi overturned going southbound on I-65 dispatchers said.

Crews working to clear the scene of the crash said all westbound lanes of I-70 near the I-65 split were expected to be shut down for up to 8 hours.

The truck was carrying a heavy cargo load, but the contents were not identified, official said.

The driver was not injured.
