INDIANAPOLIS -- Senators Dan Coats and Joe Donnelly met with Carrier executives Tuesday in Washington, D.C.
Coats sat down with Carrier President Bob McDonough – the same executive who met with Gov. Mike Pence last week.
Carrier has blamed excessive regulations as the reason for closing two Indiana plants and moving that work to Monterrey, Mexico.
Donnelly suggested to RTV6 last week that Carrier is being dishonest about the reason for its move, instead saying the corporation that turned a $6 billion profit last year was chasing "Mexican wages" of $3 an hour.
