VIGO COUNTY, Ind. - Firefighters in western Indiana said a possible small tornado swept across a field near their station and caused minor damage nearby.
Firefighters in the community of Riley, about five miles southeast of Terre Haute, spotted the funnel cloud about 8:30 p.m. Thursday as a thunderstorm moved through the area.
The Riley firefighters found a storage shed leveled at a home, the Tribune-Star reported.
Some trees also were blown down in the Terre Haute area, but no injuries were reported.
Storms also knocked down large limbs and some trees in Columbus late Thursday.
There were also reports of hail in Decatur County.
