Shelbyville police release sketch in attempted bus stop abduction

Girl was able to break away from man's grip

SHELBYVILLE, Ind. - Shelbyville police have released a sketch of a man accused of trying to grab a 9-year-old girl from a bus stop.

The incident happened just before 8 a.m. Aug. 28 near Sunset and Miller streets.

A man approached the girl and tried her pull her away, but she was able to break free and run away, police said.

The man was described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall with a heavy build, bald and a scar on his right arm.

He was wearing sweatpants, a T-shirt and no shoes.
