INDIANAPOLIS - The shooting suspect involved in a domestic dispute earlier in August died Wednesday.
Joshua Higgins, 22, shot and killed his girlfriend, 24-year-old Candice Hunter, on Aug. 10, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.
Higgins then fired at responding officers before turning the gun on himself. Higgins had been in critical condition at Eskenazi Health since the incident.
Neither of the officers was hurt in the confrontation.
