FORTVILLE, Ind. - The Fortville police officer who was shot multiple times during a traffic stop in July returned for his first full day of work Monday.
Matt Fox, 29, graduated from outpatient care at his rehabilitation center Friday and was cleared to work full days.
Fox said the tendons in his hand have still not healed entirely, so he is on desk duty.
A ceremony honoring Fox -- and the officers and emergency medical personnel who saved his life -- is scheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 5 at Lawrence City Hall.
