The snow in Indianapolis may not have been quite what many people were expecting, but it wasn't that way across the entire state.

Indianapolis received 0.6 inches of snow on Wednesday, and while it wasn't as much as in other parts of Indiana, it was still more than the average on Feb. 24, which is 0.4 inches of snowfall.

The record for snow in Indianapolis on Feb. 24 is 6.4 inches, which happened in 1974.

As far as the entire state, the northwest parts received the most snow, with Delphi, Indiana getting six inches. Delphi is in Carroll County, about 30 minutes from Purdue's campus in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Monticello had nine inches of snow at 4:30 p.m.

West Lafayette received 4.7 inches of snow. The snow was coming down hard and sticking at about 10 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Southwest of West Lafayette is Waynetown, which received 3 inches of snow on Wednesday.
