JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. - Police say a man confessed to burglarizing his mother's Franklin home after she reported a flat-screen TV, a tablet and money missing last week.
Detectives said the incident was reported in the 3000 block of North 625 East when James and Bobbie Redden came home from work last Thursday.
When the couple noticed the items missing from their home, Bobbie Redden said she suspected her son, Aron Taylor, 18, to be involved in the burglary because he had broken into their home once before using a credit card.
Police said Taylor turned himself in to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office Thursday and confessed to taking the items from his mother and stepfather's home.
Taylor told police he did not have a key or have permission to be in their home.
His mother said she suspected her son in the incident because she believed he may be involved in drugs and she had not seen him in a while.
Taylor was arrested on charges of burglary and unlawful entry.
