GREENCASTLE, Ind. - A 21-year-old Greencastle man has been arrested in the stabbing death of his father.
Officers were called to a home at 906 Crown St. just before 6 p.m. Wednesday, where they found Tommie Badgley, 53, suffering from stab wounds to his chest.
Badgley was pronounced dead a short time later at Putnam County Hospital.
The victim's son, Thomas Badgley, 21, was taken into custody at the scene.
Family members told police that Tommie Badgley went over to his son's house Wednesday afternoon and the men got into an argument.
When the fight escalated, Thomas Badgley repeatedly stabbed his father, police said.
Thomas Badgley was arrested on a preliminary charge of murder. He was being held at the Putnam County Jail.
