INDIANAPOLIS - Steve Spaulding is denying allegations raised in a state lawsuit on Tuesday.
The Attorney General’s office filed the complaint against Indianapolis-based Spaulding’s Tree Experts.
The complaint accused Spaulding of cheating a 93-year-old Indianapolis man with dementia out of $7,500 on a tree trimming job.
Spaulding told the Call 6 Investigators that he did not take advantage of the 93-year-old man. He believed the homeowner wanted the work done because he had a relative at his side.
Spaulding said he had a six-man crew at the site and he stands by his work.
He also wants the death threats and vandalism on his property to stop since the report was made public.
Spaulding plans to fight the allegations in court.
