INDIANAPOLIS - St. Vincent Health officials announced that they will be cutting approximately 850 jobs across their 22-hospital system.
Officials made the announcement Friday that a 5 percent reduction of labor expense had to be made.
“The faith-based health system has experienced lower than budgeted volumes, decreasing reimbursement and took proactive steps to respond to changes within the healthcare industry,” a spokesman said in a statement.
Eligible associates were provided with severance packages and support was offered to all employees, regardless of their role.
