INDIANAPOLIS - An Indianapolis woman has been sentenced to 30 years after admitting to intentionally dropping her stepson, causing the child's death.
Autumn Dunn, 30, said she dropped her 2-year-old stepson, Skyler Dunn, on his head twice because he wouldn't stop crying, WIBC reported.
Skyler died two days later at Riley Hospital for Children.
Dunn pleaded guilty to felony neglect in exchange for six other charges against her being dropped.
Dunn also admitted to lying to authorities and employees at Riley Hospital about how Skyler came to be injured.
Skyler's mom, Jean Seal, said she thinks Dunn is not remorseful and deserves life behind bars.
Dunn's attorney, Doug Hiland, said Dunn is sorry about the incident and that the plea deal was in her best interest.
