INDIANAPOLIS -- Sunday night's storms added insult to injury for Beech Grove resident Andrew West.
"It's a little bit of a double whammy," West told RTV6.
The first "whammy" came when West was driving home through the storm. Low-lying water stalled his SUV. He was eventually forced to abandon it and hitch a ride home with a stranger.

When he pulled up to his house, he saw "whammy" number two.
"The tree was just hanging here, so it's been scary ever since," West said.
There was a silver lining, though.
"If that tree had gone in any other direction almost, it would have hit my house or my neighbor's house," West said.
