ANDERSON, Ind. - One person was killed in a crash between a tractor-trailer and a tanker truck that closed northbound Interstate 69 in Anderson on Wednesday morning.

The crash happened just after 7:30 a.m. near the exit for State Road 9 when the tanker rear ended the other semi, causing it to jackknife.

The tanker truck's cab then hit the semi a second time, causing the tanker to roll over.

Anderson police said the driver of the tanker truck was killed in the crash.

Hazmat crews were called to the scene. The tanker truck was hauling a flammable asphalt additive, but it did not spill.
