MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ind. -- A 15-year-old was arrested Wednesday for allegedly sending threats on the internet to the South Montgomery School Corporation.

The threats started on January 29, when the school received a threat by email. Police and bomb dogs searched the school, but found nothing.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office called the ISP Cyber Crimes Unit on February 1 to help them after more threats were sent to the school.

According to a press release from the Indiana State Police, the threat continued Wednesday, when then there was enough evidence to question the 15-year-old and arrest him.

The teen faces preliminary charges of intimidation and false reporting. He was taken to a juvenile detention center.

"With the alleged suspect in custody, parents should feel comfortable to send their children to school," the press release said.
