INDIANAPOLIS - Police arrested a teenager on Friday in connection with the fatal shooting of an Indianapolis man.
Avis Lacy, 16, is accused of shooting 34-year-old Ray Ivory in the 1500 block of Cumberland Road on Jan. 14, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.
Detectives said they believe the motive in the case was robbery.
Ivory was taken to Methodist Hospital in critical condition where he died the next day.
Officials said Lacy is being charged as an adult. He faces formal charges of murder, robbery, use of a firearm by a serious violent felon and carrying a handgun without a license, police said.
Authorities said Lacy was arrested without incident and was being held without bond.
