CLARKSVILLE, Ind. - Two teens were arrested in the fatal shooting of a southern Indiana man in his home.

Clarksville police arrested Christopher Jared Sowders, 18, and Garreth Stephens, 19, after investigators said the two men broke into Steven Baldwin's home on March 11 and killed him.

Baldwin, 47, was asleep at the time of the break-in, police said.

Baldwin's wife, Melanie Coghill, was not home at the time of the killing.

"The fact that I wasn't there to help him and he had to die with them leaving him like that, it just makes me so angry,” Coghill told WHAS-TV .

Blake Glaab, Baldwin’s stepson, said he went to school with Sowders and Stephens and also considered Sowders to be a friend until, he said, he started getting into trouble.

"I am very happy to hear that the monsters who committed this act are in custody," Glaab said in a statement. "It is a bittersweet feeling, because although I am happy they were arrested, it will not bring back my stepfather."

Sowders and Stephens were charged with murder and burglary.
