JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. - A Texas woman has been arrested after a traffic stop netted 17 pounds of marijuana, Indiana State Police said.
Loniquel Trachelle Hoskins, 22, of Houston, was pulled over just after 2 p.m. Sunday along southbound Interstate 65 in Jackson County.
The trooper said he noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from the car, and his K-9 partnr, Kane, alerted to the presence of drugs, police said.
Twenty-six individually wrapped packages of marijuana weighing 17 pounds were found hidden in the two rear doors of the vehicle, police said.
Hoskins was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing in marijuana and possession of marijuana.
She was being held at the Jackson County Jail.
