INDIANAPOLIS -- Two men walked into the Macy's Department Store at the Glendale Mall on Tuesday and broke open a jewelry case with an ax – stealing more than $100,000 worth of jewelry before fleeing the scene.

The heist happened around 5:09 p.m. Tuesday.

Witnesses told police two suspects entered the store and used an ax to break the glass on the case.

The suspects reportedly didn't issue any threats – just broke the case and snatched more than $100,000 worth of jewelry.

They then fled eastbound in a red 2006 Chevrolet Impala.

No description of the suspects was immediately reported.
