Threat evacuates Ivy Tech campus in Muncie

MUNCIE, Ind. - Ivy Tech in Muncie was evacuated Thursday evening after a threat on campus.

The school posted an alert on its Facebook page just after 5 p.m. that read, "A threat was made to our Muncie Cowan Rd Campus. It has been evacuated. Everyone should remain at their location until it's all clear."

Muncie police told RTV6 that there was a vague threat of violence made to the Muncie and Marion campuses this afternoon.

Police searched both campuses Thursday evening. The all-clear was given in both locations.

All classes at the Muncie campus were canceled Thursday night. Classes in Marion will continue Thursday night.
