FORT WAYNE, Ind. - A toddler died Saturday after being struck by an SUV in the family's driveway.
Police said the child was struck about 6:45 p.m. in the 4100 block of Hiawatha Boulevard, WPTA-TV in Fort Wayne reported.
Investigators said the family was rearranging vehicles in the driveway when the toddler, who was outside at the time, was hit by the SUV and pinned underneath.
Police said medics were able to free the child, who was taken to a hospital in critical condition before being pronounced dead.
Investigators don't think alcohol was a factor. The death remains under investigation.
