INDIANAPOLIS – It’s officially summer and this weekend you can experience the outdoors by completing obstacle courses, enjoying pre-Fourth of July fireworks and all the tacos and margaritas your heart desires.

Here are your top six things to do in Indianapolis this weekend:

The Indy Ultimate
Military Park – 601 W. New York Street
Saturday at 8 a.m.

Join Indiana Sports Corps’ urban adventure that includes challenges and activities along a 7-mile downtown race course. You’ll kick a field goal at Lucas Oil Stadium and weave your way through an obstacle course at American Legion Mall.

Greenwood Freedom Festival
Craig Park – 10 E. Smith Valley Road
Saturday at 1 p.m.

More than 50,000 people visit Craig Park each year to participate in the local parade, food and shopping festivities. The evening also includes fireworks.

Symphony on the Prairie
Conner Prairie – 13400 Allisonville Road
Saturday at 8 p.m.

Bring your blanket or lawn chair to the 36th annual Symphony on the Prairie where you can enjoy live music and food on the lawn of Conner Prairie. This week’s show will pay tribute to the Eagles and founding member, Glenn Fry, who passed away last year.

87th Annual Marion County Fair

Fairgoers can enjoy a variety of attractions including demolition derbies, motorcycle races, pageants, a bear show, concerts, contests, fabulous fair food and much more. Admission is only $5 per person and children under 5 can get in free.

25th Anniversary Indian Market & Festival
Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Eiteljorg Museum of American Indian and Western Art – 500 W. Washington Street

Learn more about the Native American culture through art, music, dance and food. This event will feature more than 150 artists from more than 60 tribes.

Broad Ripple Duck Race
Broad Ripple Canal – 6323 Guilford Avenue
Sunday at 3 p.m.

Pick your lucky duck and let it race down the Broad Ripple canal during the annual Rubber Duck Race. The winner will take home a prize basket worth over $400.
