Benton, Jasper and White Counties remain in severe t-storm warning

INDIANAPOLIS - The National Weather Service has expired a tornado warning for northeastern Benton County.
Benton County and Jasper County remain in a severe thunderstorm warning until 6:45 p.m.
At 5:50 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Lochiel moving southeast at 15 mph.
A severe thunderstorm warning has also been issued for southwestern White County.
The weather service is warning residents to be aware of possible hail damage, and advising them to take precautions. Residents in mobile homes are especially vulnerable to tornados.
The storm was expected to come near Barce around 6:05 p.m.
In case of a tornado event, residents are advised to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building and avoid windows. If in a mobile home, vehicle or outdoors, move to the closes substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
