INDIANAPOLIS -- A sad day for students and staff at Traders Point Christian Academy -- where Raymond Giehll attended for preschool twice a week.
Police say Lucius Oliver Hamilton III shot and killed Raymond and his mother Katherine Wednesday morning in their Zionsville home. Hamilton was Katie Giehll's uncle. He died in a downtown Indianapolis hotel room of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Counselors were at Raymond's preschool on Thursday.
Officials also sent packets of information home to parents about how to explain what happened to their children.
Raymond had been a student at Traders Point since August. There were 16 children in his preschool class.
"My wife is a teacher in that class, and so, she's been sharing memories about him. He was Raymond the fourth and the first time he came to school she asked his name and instead of saying Raymond he said four. And it took her the rest of the day to find out what he meant by four and it was Raymond the fourth. He was just a delightful young man," said Ron Evans, Head of Traders Point Christian Academy.
