Turkey Hill issued a recall for select packages of it's Dutch Chocolate ice cream that may actually contain Rocky Road ice cream.

The 48-ounce containers affected by the recall may include undeclared ingredients of almonds and eggs and could be harmful to people who have allergies or food sensitivities to those ingredients.

The recalled items are all in containers mislabeled as Dutch Chocolate Premium Ice Cream with a lid correctly reading Rocky Road Premium Ice Cream.

Turkey Hill has requested that stores remove the product from their shelves but they say that for people who are not allergic to almonds or eggs there is no health risk.

The items were sold at stores in several states including Indiana after September 8, 2016.

The recalled product information includes:

Name of product: Dutch Chocolate Premium Ice Cream
Container size: 48 oz. (1.5 QTS - 1.42L)
UPC code: 20735-42095
Sell-by date: May 23, 2017 (Found printed on the bottom of the package)

The recalled packages can be returned to their place of purchase for a full refund or you can Contact Turkey Hill Dairy at 1-800-MY-DAIRY (1-800-693-2479) for a replacement/refund.
