INDIANAPOLIS -

A TV was stolen from a firehouse in Wayne Township early Wednesday, officials said.

Chief Michael Pruitt said the thieves came into Station No. 84 around midnight just as crews were dispatched to an emergency. The garage door of the station is on a short delay and Pruitt said he believes the thieves used the delay to their advantage.

When the firefighters returned to the station, they realized someone has entered the firehouse and taken the TV.

Police asked anyone with information about the theft to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
