Two Kokomo teens in critical condition after hit-and-run

KOKOMO, Ind. - Kokomo police are looking for a suspect involved in a hit-and-run that left two teens seriously injured.
Police said two 13-year-old boys were riding on a moped eastbound on County Road 300 South in Kokomo just before 9 p.m. Thursday night when their vehicle was struck by a truck attempting to turn southbound into Highland Springs Subdivision.
After striking the juveniles, police said the driver of the truck continued southbound through the subdivision without returning to the scene of the accident.
Both teenagers were airlifted to Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis with serious injuries following an emergency transport to Community Howard Regional Health Hospital.
Both remain listed in critical condition.
Kokomo police are actively searching for a white, late model Ford truck, with possible right front bumper damage.
