Two sent to hospital after Saturday-afternoon gunfire on Indy's west side

INDIANAPOLIS - Police said two people were shot Saturday afternoon on the city’s west side.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to a shooting just after 1:30 p.m. Saturday near 34th Street and High School Road.

IMPD officer Kendale Adams tells RTV6 two people were taken to IU Health West Hospital with gunshot wounds. They are reportedly in good condition.

IMPD also said the two gunshot victims were possible suspects in the case.

There is no word on the identities of the two people involved at this time.
