Four shot, two fatally, in under three hours

Two people were fatally shot overnight on the west and north side, while two others were found with gunshot wounds at an east-side gas station.

The first fatal shooting occurred around 11:10 p.m. on the 3800 block of Bennett Drive, near the Pangea Parkwest Apartments on West 38th Street.

Police said the victim of the shooting had died, and they don't believe this was a random act.

The victim has been identified as Gregory Paffumi, 19. 

No other information on the search for suspects was given.

A second fatal shooting was reported shortly after midnight on the 4700 block of Crestview Avenue in the SoBro area around 11:46 p.m. 

Police said the victim was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene. A witness told police they heard popping noises coming from inside a SUV. Officials say they are investigating the shooting as homicide, but could not give any information on suspects.

Earlier in the night, police were called to a shooting at around 9:20 p.m. near the intersection of 38th Street and Post Road. They eventually found two victims suffering gunshot wounds at a 7-11 near Pendleton Pike and Post Road, but no evidence of a shooting at the original location.

One of the victims was reportedly in critical condition.
