HENRY COUNTY, Ind. - Authorities have identified a body discovered over the weekend in southwest Henry County. The case is now being considered a homicide investigation.
Officers were called to the area of Montgomery Creek, just off Grant City Road, around 6 p.m. on Sunday.
The body was found by a passerby who was walking along the road, officials said.
Indiana State Police (ISP) said Wednesday that an autopsy positively identified the man as Zackery D. Soots, 23, from Indianapolis.
ISP also said the autopsy pushed investigators to treat the death as a homicide, but there were no details released on Soots' exact manner of death.
