PHOENIX - US Airways posted a message on Twitter that contained a graphic image in response to a passenger Monday afternoon.
US Airways responded with: "We welcome feedback, Elle. If your travel is complete, you can detail it for review and follow-up."
That tweet included a picture that showed a model airplane inappropriately positioned between a woman’s legs.
The photo was online for about one hour before being deleted by US Airways.
RTV6 sister station ABC15 has chosen to blackout parts of that Twitter image in the above photo.
US Airways later removed the tweet and issued the following apology:
We apologize for an inappropriate image recently shared as a link in one of our responses. We’ve removed the tweet and are investigating.— US Airways (@USAirways) April 14, 2014
No further details about how the photo made it onto Twitter have been released.
ABC15 has reached out to US Airways for a statement.
