Power and utility companies were prepared for the power outages that Wednesday night's storm was expected to bring.
Indianapolis Power & Light Company was in response mode and Duke Energy officials said they were in a similar stance.
Duke Energy reported as many as 6,185 outages across the state at one time, with the majority in Wabash and Huntington counties.
IPL reported 42 outages.
IPL said they called in extra personnel to deal with the problems the storm was expected to bring.
The Miami County Sheriff in Peru, Ind. reported some trees and power lines were down. There was damage to homes and garages, mostly in the northern part of the county. No injuries were reported.
The Wabash County Sheriff also reported power lines and trees down with slight damage to some structures. No injuries were reported.
Officials with Grant and Howard counties reported similar conditions.
