INDIANAPOLIS -- Vandals targeted several Indianapolis' churches over the weekend spray-painting profanity and even breaking the head off of a statue of Jesus.

The statue sits at the front door of Cottage Avenue Pentecostal Fellowship. Members said this is the second time that the statue has been targeted, but this time they didn't just break it, they stole the head.

"This first time you know, it's vandalism. The second time, there has got to be a hatred to them," said Leroy Myers.

The Sixth Church of Christ in southern Indianapolis was also vandalized over the weekend. Someone spray painted profanities onto the building.

A third church located on Sherman Drive was also broken into and vandalized.
