INDIANAPOLIS - A car cut through the fenced-in back yards of four homes, hit two houses and came to rest on a deck after the driver lost control of her vehicle Thursday, officials said.
Wayne Township Fire Department officials responded to the scene on Country Club Road just north of 10th Street.
Officials said an elderly woman was driving.
The woman told police she didn't remember the accident, but neighbors had no trouble recalling it.
"I was sitting at the dining room table looking at the paper and I heard a big bump, like a big truck coming down the street," said Ronald Brandon.
Brandon's yard was damaged by the incident, and the car came to a stop on his deck.
"I heard another bump, I looked up and the car was sitting on the deck," Brandon said.
The woman's son was also in the car, but neither of them sustained serious injuries.
Officials said nobody in the yards or homes was injured.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are investigating.
