Victims call cops after iPhones, marijuana

INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis police are looking for two suspects in connection with the robbery of several hundred dollars in cash, three smartphones and 2 grams of marijuana from a downtown apartment.

On Jan. 6, IMPD officers were dispatched to a report of a robbery at gunpoint at an apartment on the 1200 block of Indiana Avenue.

The four victims inside the apartment told police two black males knocked on their door stating that they "smelled weed," and then pulled out a gun and demanded all of the marijuana in the apartment.

The suspects took $300 in cash, three smartphones, and Xbox One game console and approximately 2 grams of marijuana, according to the police report.

Indianapolis police are now asking for the public's assistance in finding the suspects.

Suspect 1 is described as a black male 18-25 years of age, 6 feet tall and weighing 170-180 pounds. He was wearing a leather jacket, skull cap and jeans and was armed with a silver semi-automatic handgun.

Suspect 2 is described as a black male 18-25 years of age and 5'8" – 5'10" tall. He was wearing a black hooded coat with fur trim around the hood and black pants, and was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.

Police said the suspects should not be approached if spotted.
