INDIANAPOLIS – Police are still looking for the three people who beat and robbed a man while he was just trying to do his job this week.

Adrian – whose last name we are not using for safety reasons – is recovering from his injuries, and spoke to RTV6 about the frightening moments.

He’s a driver for Domino’s and says Wednesday’s delivery seemed like a typical one. But instead of a tip, he got attacked instead.

He was delivering three pizzas to the 1200 block of North Mount Street (near 16th Street and White River Parkway) and says the customer was waiting outside.

As Adrian tried to exchange the pizza for payment, another man hit him in the face with what Adrian believes was a bat.

He was knocked unconscious.

Three attackers got away with cash, his phone and his handgun he kept in the car for safety.

“I am going to work every day and making money to feed my family,” Adrian said. “The fact that someone feels they are so privileged to go up to a hard-working citizen and take what's theirs – I think that's kind of being a coward.”

He showed us the dent in his car where his head hit it. He’s recovering from a concussion.

Police have only a vague description of the suspects, but hope anyone with information calls Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477.

Domino’s is now offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
