Prof explains fine line between church and state

Ever since an Indiana State Police trooper was fired for preaching on the job, we’ve had a lot of people ask why he lost his job when elected leaders – such as Indiana Gov. mike Pence – talk about religion all the time.

So we took those questions to a law professor at Indiana University to get you answers.

Professor Daniel Conkle says there’s a gray area when it comes to separation of church and state, and a very fine line between what’s appropriate and what isn’t.
