FISHERS, Ind. -- Multiple locations in Hamilton County have tested positive for West Nile virus and health department officials are spraying to help keep the mosquitoes away and the risk of it spreading down.

Summer testing has revealed eleven areas in the county where mosquitoes were carrying the virus, although no human cases have been reported.

Those areas include three in Fishers, three in Noblesville, two in Carmel, two in Westfield and one in Arcadia.

Spraying began at the end of July for the areas in Noblesville and Carmel and will continue this week for Westfield and Fishers. Areas within a one-mile radius of the positive sample sites will be sprayed.
