INDIANAPOLIS -
An early morning fire forced a mother and her four children out of their west side Indianapolis apartment Tuesday, Wayne Township Firefighters said.
The fire sparked just before 2 a.m. at the Port O' Call Apartments near Interstate 465 and Rockville Road.
Dispatchers said two units were damaged and the tenants escaped the blaze unharmed.
The Indianapolis Fire Department's Victims Assistance unit helped the family find temporary shelter.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
