GREENWOOD, Ind. -- It's been 14 years since anybody has seen Brookley Louks.

Louks disappeared on June 24, 2002 -- 14 years ago last Friday.

Her car was found a week later at Highway 37 and State Road 144. At the same spot, a neighbor picked up Joe Nowicki, a family friend. When police searched Nowicki's house and garage, they found evidence of Louks' blood on the floor, desk and ceiling.

Nowicki told police it was Louks' blood, but said she cut her finger during an upholstery project.

When a detective asked Nowicki what he thought happened to her, he replied, "Well detective, I think she met with an ill fate."

Nowicki died in 2003.

The Greenwood Police Department is asking for any help in finding out what happened to her.
