WHITE COUNTY, Ind. - A White County 5-year-old drowned in a bathtub Wednesday evening.
The drowning happened at a home in the 1100 block of West Hanawalt Road just after 6 p.m., officials with the Indiana State Police said.
A family member found Ian Davidson in the tub. A neighbor started CPR until first responders arrived to take Davidson to Indiana University White Memorial Hospital in Monticello.
Davidson was then lifelined to Riley Hospital for Children where he was pronounced dead just before 2 a.m. Thursday.
Davidson’s parents were home at the time of the drowning. Police said the investigation was ongoing but no charges have been filed.
More details were expected to be released following an autopsy.
