INDIANAPOLIS -- Broadcasting live is easier than ever thanks to social media - but when you go "live" on Facebook, who's really watching you?

You may think your broadcast is limited to just the people you're friends with, but that isn't always the case.

There's a Facebook feature that can show your Facebook Live stream to anyone in the world. It's called a "Live Map, " and it pinpoints locations from across the globe where people are going live on Facebook at any given time.

All someone has to do is click on your little blue dot, and they can watch your feed.

But there are ways to control who can see your live broadcasts just by changing your settings.

If you go to account settings, then location and disable nearby friends it will limit who has access to your account.

Watch the video above for some tips on how to keep your Facebook safe.
