EVANSVILLE, Ind. - An Evansville woman faces three charges after she reportedly ran into traffic on Riverside Avenue naked attacking vehicles late Saturday.
Nikkita Renea Frye, 34, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication and resisting law enforcement, police told the Evansville Courier & Press.
Witnesses told officers that around 9 p.m. Saturday a woman, later identified as Frye, was walking west on Riverside Avenue punching cars and jumping into traffic naked, according to the police report.
Officers discovered Frye in the 1600 block of Shadewood Avenue a short time later. When she saw officers she laid on the ground. Police covered her with a blanket and eventually located her dress.
It took several attempts but Frye complied with officers and put her dress back on.
She was unable to give police any basic information and appeared confused and unable to follow instructions.
Her balance was unsteady, and she later admitted she had been using cocaine and bath salts.
While talking to officers, she repeatedly walked toward the group of people who had gathered outside to watch the incident and yelling although officers told her to stay by the police car.
Frye then took an aggressive stance toward officers and began yelling and smacking her hands together as if she was ready to fight.
Officers asked her to stop and turn around but failed to listen. When two officers tried to place her in handcuffs she began attacking the officers by trying to punch them.
She was placed on the ground and handcuffed after a short struggle. Frye was transported to a Deaconess Health System for evaluation and then booked into Vanderburgh County Correctional Complex on the charges.
