INDIANAPOLIS – A woman was arrested Saturday morning after she allegedly shot and killed her ex-husband.
Indianapolis police found 40-year-old Jack Martin suffering from at least one gunshot wound after being called to the 7200 block of East 13th Street around 12:30 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
Homicide detectives determined the victim’s ex-wife, 36-year-old Brittany Martin of Indianapolis, was involved and likely the shooter.
Soon after being questioned by detectives, Martin was arrested on a preliminary charge of murder.
Detectives believe domestic abuse may have been involved in the couple’s relationship.
