INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis woman was arrested Monday for allegedly attempting to smuggle Suboxone and synthetic marijuana into the Putnamville Correctional Facility.

Corrections employees arrested Danielle Moore, 32, when she reportedly tried to smuggle in 10 Suboxone strips and a package of synthetic marijuana to Dejon Pitchford, who is serving a 1,095-day sentence for robbery in the facility.

Suboxone is a semisynthetic opioid used both to treat pain and opioid addiction.

Moore faces preliminary charges of attempted trafficking of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, both felonies.
