Woman defends home with space heater when intruder found in daughter's room

INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis Metro police said a woman hit a man in the head with a space heater during an early morning home invasion.
The woman told police she was awakened by her 17-year-old daughter's screams, and when she ran to her daughter's room she found a man in there.
The police report said the mother grabbed a nearby space heater and hit the man with it twice. The woman told police the man then hit her with something soft before running down the stairs and fleeing the home.
The woman initially told police she didn't know who the man was, but she later said the man has been stalking her and was likely trying to scare her.
