INDIANAPOLIS - A woman was injured in an apparent hit-and-run incident on the city’s east side late Tuesday evening.
The incident happened near East Washington Street and South Gladstone Avenue just after 9 p.m., officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.
Police said a female was struck by a vehicle. The woman was taken to the hospital with a possible broken leg.
Witnesses told police that a male may have fired several shots at the vehicle when it took off after hitting the woman.
Few other details were released.
