Driver charged with OWI resulting in death

FRANKFORT, Ind. - Police said a 27-year-old female pedestrian was struck and killed just south of Frankfort while walking south on State Road 39 Sunday morning.
The vehicle that struck the pedestrian did not stop at the scene, but was later located in a ditch one mile south of the scene, a news release said.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 30-year-old Joseph W. Stahl.
Police said Stahl was charged with operating while intoxicated resulting in death.
No other names or information was released.
